I really love tea. Although my blog name is already quite suggestive of this affection, I think I might elaborate on this so that one can truly understand the appreciation I hold for the ol’ cuppa joe.
There really isn’t much that can’t be fixed (or slightly made better at least) by a cup of tea.
Rainy outside? Perfect time for tea.
Have already met your quota of coffee for the day (only takes me one...) yet you still feel the need for a warm cup of sumfin? Get out that quirky office mug!
Had a good cry and are in desperate need of rehydration? Drink a glass of water... then make yourself a tea.
Just because you bloody love it as much as I do? Boil that kettle!
Let me share with you some of my absolute faves:
1. Black tea (weak, milky and 1/2 a teaspoon of sugar). Twinning's Morning Tea is my go-to right now
2. Green tea (weak, black and topped up with cold water): Lipton’s magnificent matcha green tea with ginger is the perfect afternoon pick-me-up
3. Sick tea (strong, black, and with a squeeze of citrus): Pukka's lemon, ginger & manuka honey does the trick for cold/flu and tummy bugs alike
4. Pot of tea for 1-3 (or possibly more but we like to rhyme): New York (or Melbourne) Breakfast is the kind of tea that makes my heart sing
5. Feeling fancy: French Earl Grey (T2 once again). This tea's good either black or with milk (maybe even cream if you're feeling particularly extravagant!)
Whether it’s your stock standard black tea with milk or a lovely herbal friend, there really is a tea for every occasion.
Don't worry! The kettle's on!
